"Eenie Meenie" is a little book I completed recently for the Artisan Annual Artist Books Exhibition.
The turkishmapfold image on Fabriano watercour paper , was my first attempt at coming to terms with my Uluru experience. It contrasts maps and map symbols as well as aboriginal language concerning various landforms and land use in the area. The cover utilises earth pigments on chinese paper and has quite a central australian "feel".
Currently, I am working collaborately with Helen Malone on a more sculpural approach to the same area and its a very exciting experience working with such a talented booksartist. Her book "bloom" is featured on the Artisan flyer advertising the Annual Artist Book exhibition.
Isn't it a spectacularly sculptural beauty of a book? If you live in Melbourne or a visiting at the right time, pop in and have a look. The books always look even better and hopefully you can get your hands on them(with gloves of course).
